The truth about work
Most of us don’t have an up-to-date knowledge of which routes will lead us into an amazing career that suits us. It’s not wise to pick a job based on salary alone. Apprenticeships and jobs with training and support can have a low starting salary, but give you the foundations to secure a much higher salary two or three years down the line.
For example, did you know that trainee air traffic controllers get a basic salary of £18,00. Yet once they’ve passed their training, they earn £40k? This goes up to £100k in the busiest airports!
It pays to think long-term and understand your options. Use the links below to learn more about the right career routes for you.
