SupplyTrain is supporting the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) develop the digital apprenticeship service so that it works for small businesses – and we need your help!
From April 2019, all employers that want to take on apprentices, will use a digital apprenticeship service to manage and pay for apprenticeship training no matter how big or small the organisation.
Currently, only employers with a payroll of over £3 million per annum are using the digital apprenticeship service, but companies of this size often have dedicated staff managing the process, liaising with training providers and cross-checking the detail before signing off payments. Small businesses do not have that luxury.
As such, SupplyTrain wants to make sure that the digital apprenticeship service works for small businesses. That the system is simple, yet not easily manipulated – and we need your help…
We are reaching out to businesses with less than 50 employees, that can spare 10 minutes for a chat on the phone about how a refreshed digital apprenticeship service might work well for you. It doesn’t matter if you’ve taken on apprentices before or are completely new to the idea, we just want to understand…
Would you want to:
- Advertise your own apprenticeship vacancies
- Be able to compare suitable training providers
- Choose how and when you pay for training
- Let a training provider manage the system on your behalf
- Work with an impartial agency to support you through the system
Once we have collated your opinions, SupplyTrain will feedback an overall picture to the ESFA on how the digital apprenticeship service might work for small businesses in England.
