Why take part?
Try out junior talent at zero cost
We cover the wages for a young person to work 16 hours a week for 10 weeks in your business, giving you extra support without financial risk.
We handle recruitment and HR
We find and screen candidates, arrange interviews, and employ the young person directly – removing payroll, admin and compliance burdens from you.
£4,000 incentive if you choose to progress
If the placement is a good fit and you want to continue, you’ll receive a £4,000 wage incentive to support turning the role into an apprenticeship at the end of March 2026.
Simple, low-risk and flexible
If it’s not the right match, the placement ends after 10 weeks with no ongoing commitment.

The partners bringing this together
Supplytrain is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to create fairer routes into work. We do this by making it as easy as possible for businesses to offer life-changing opportunities without the complexity or risk associated with government schemes.
On this project, we employ participants on your behalf, provide HR, safeguarding and payroll, and support both the employer and the young person every step of the way. This is at no cost.
This pilot forms part of the Healthy Working Life programme, funded by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority. It is testing a new way for SMEs to access talent, reduce recruitment barriers and create lasting impact in their communities.
